The Company

Hence the desire to create our own identity through the production of wine was born.

A wine that follows the Modena tradition, its history, its flavors and our passion.

The goal is precisely to see those experiences and those cures matured in time and handed down generations to generations.

First of all, his grandfather Bertoia started farminexactly where the company base now stands.

We are in the early 1800s, the size is reduced but from that day the activity is hand-picked by the family and never stops.

Later his grandfather, Attilio, took the company's hand, also detecting the part of the brothers.

The Tenute Campana are today's projection of historical generations of agricultural passion that has come to fruition in its products. The farm is located near the natural park of the Secchia river, near Modena, in the land of Lambruschi and Pignoletto wines; Year after year it has grown to reach today, extending over an area of ​​about 180 hectares, of which 22 are used for vineyards

We are in the 1970s, it was Lauro Campana's turn, who still follows the activity together with his sons Sergio and Mattia. Sergio, in 2015 with the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture, was selected along with other 19 agricultural realities to become Mcdonald's direct supplier through a supply chain.

The project is structured through the supply of national wheat of Bologna varieties. Once sown, cared for and grown, it is harvested and given to be worked always in the Modena area where it becomes bread that will be the basis of the composition of the famous Hamburger.

In this chain of paths there is a very important patner: the agricultural university of Padua. The University of Padua is one of the largest agricultural realities studying and deepening agricultural matters through diversified experiments carried out in a farm of about 60 hectares.

Thanks to this important collaboration we are experimenting together technological innovation to reduce the use of plant protection products, precisely targeting interventions and at the same time trying to improve product quality.

The basis of these studies is the collaboration between those who produce and who work the final product with the aim of raising the quality level of Made in Italy.
